They made it a sort of weird card thing? But the worst part is that it takes FOREVER, and it doesn't make sense. I hated the music so much, I turned it off and literally played Stardew Valley and Undertale music on Spotify. There's an incredibly beautiful snowy area which was my favorite and the customers walk around outside in blinding snow in shorts and a tank top.

One room you have to build in order to progress in one area is a movie theater and I have tried EVERYTHING to get the customers to use it. Customers walk through walls or refuse to use items. Then you have to spend time looking at your cluttered rooms, trying to figure out where the item is they can't get by. You can put things in front of doorways or in customer's ways without realizing you are the game lets you. The rooms end up looking like an episode of hoarders.

You can build the rooms yourself and add items to it, but you have to upgrade the items in order to maintain the "score" your customers have, and those scores force you to add more and more and more to the room, resulting in it looking SO cluttered and horrible. The game isn't balanced some of it (getting supplies for upgrading) is way too easy and other parts (cooking) way too hard or they take too long. You have to run several B&Bs in different areas instead of one B&B that you get to upgrade and make your own. Why even have them in the game? They seemed to serve no purpose. You meet two of the bear's friends in the beginning and I haven't seen them since I opened the first B&B. The NPCs you meet are only in your life for a short amount of time. I love the different areas you can visit The devs updated for Christmas and left the items in the game and they are so cute, especially in the winter area Most of the NPCs you meet are super cute. Some of the dialogue made me laugh out loud and I love the bear's emotions during conversations. A few of the characters who help you are super helpful once you unlock what they do (Wade & Julia). The artists are talented and it looks AAA. It's beautiful and satisfying to look at. Why weren't they upfront with that? The description literally says, ".trying to run a B+B in the woods." Not a great start. But when you get into the game, you find out your bear is going to open SEVERAL B&Bs, motels and resorts, each one bigger than the last, and that you have to run around managing them all, never really getting the chance to connect with any of them. From the trailer and description, you think you're going into a game where you run a singular B&B and you upgrade it overtime, which sounds amazing. I've played through the majority of the game now and have found myself wishing several times that it were over already, and that's never a good sign.įirst off, the game devs really were not upfront with what this game really is and it feels deceitful. As much as I want to be able to recommend this game, I find that I just cannot.
